Rarenorm: “Why did you make this song? What do you want to achieve in your music career? When did you start loving music and what are you creating next?”
This song is an ode to struggling with your own thoughts and actions, trying not to hurt someone you love. Everyone has there own demons. The harsh lyrics in this song come from a place not necessarily from a first-person perspective, but by realizing how your own actions have affected someone else, and try to put your self in their shoes- trying to relate to a place of dysphoria.
as far as what I want to achieve, as an artist, I want to create records and music that help me find and support sonic and creative freedom and exploration, while at the same time make music that is culturally important and emotionally impactful for the listener.
At the same time, I’m a producer of many other artists and musical genres, so I’d like to take that further and help other artists explore as well.I’ve been playing and creating music since I was a little kid. I grew up singing in choirs, playing piano, drums, and saxophone. so when I got into high school I had no trouble picking up and finding a love for guitar.
As far as the next steps creatively; I have just released a full EP “WELCOME,” ( soundcloud.com/grayhawken/sets/gray) where this track came off of, along with a visual interactive eBook, available on the iBook store that just came out (books.apple.com/ca/book/welcome/id1482667518). On top of this, there will be a video coming out for the last track on the EP dropping next week. Other than that, just more writing!
