Father John Misty: “I Ride for Nickelback”

Nickelback are a Canadian rock band that a total bunch of men and women appreciate to despise. After the Chainsmokers were being not too long ago called “The Nickelback of EDM,” Father John Misty has now rushed to the defense of Chad Kroeger’s music. In the below job interview with NME, he declared, “I will ride for Nickelback.” Just after he read through the Chainsmokers comparison, he precisely sang the praises of “How You Remind Me,” expressing, “That’s a fucking good music. Have you heard that music? It’s good.” When requested what he appreciated about the music, he replied:

“I don’t know. That’s the dilemma with the internet and social media and things: the things that you like, you can’t say what it is that you like about a thing. If you like a thing, it is intended to be beyond the mental. But I will ride for Nickelback—I want that on the document. ‘Farmer John Distress: I ride for Nickelback.’”

Father John Misty’s new album Pure Comedy is out April 7 via Sub Pop/Bella Union.
