James Fauntleroy Calls Out Kanye West & Pusha T, Praises Noah "40" Shebib

Acclaimed producer, writer and musician James Fauntleroy — who recently scooped three Grammy awards for his work on Bruno Mars’s 24K Magic — recently leapt into the Pusha T v. Drake beef, initiating a mini-firestorm of his own on Twitter. Fauntleroy didn’t mince words, kicking things off with: “Pusha T was a drug dealer, now he’s a snitch.” He continued, noting that “I love rap, so I’m more interested in the actual skill of rapping not just Wendy Williams that rhymes,” and “the n*ggas y’all defending do bad business, treat people like shit in real life and not even rapping well.” To specify his views on Pusha, Fauntleroy affirmed, “top MC my ass, one hit wonder at best.”

Meanwhile, Fauntleroy had nothing but praise for Noah “40” Shebib, declaring Drake‘s pal “an amazing human being” and “an actual person, a rare genuine person in a business almost completely full of the opposite.” In the same sentence, he made his stance on Kanye West clear: “Kanye literally has had the most ghostcreators in music history btw #fax … Kanye got ghost writers, ghost stylists, ghost producers, ghosts everything! No wonder these n*ggas see ghosts! They got em EVERYWHERE.” The latter statement references West’s forthcoming collaboration with Kid Cudi, Kids See Ghosts.

No response has been issued from anyone else involved in the beef, perhaps because West himself recently declared the argument “dead.” Check out the entire dialogue below.
