Phoenix Announce New Album Ti Amo

Phoenix have declared their sixth studio album. It is called Ti Amo, and it is out June nine via Glassnote. In a new New York Instances write-up, guitarist Laurent Brancowitz described the vibe of the album as “summer and Italian discos.” Ti Amo was recorded in late 2014 after the launch of Bankrupt! in 2013. According to the NYT write-up, the band holed up in “an outdated opera household in close proximity to the Pompidou Centre, in the coronary heart of Paris,” installing recording equipment in the space to do so. The news follows the band’s announcement of a globe tour, which was previewed with a teaser that was soundtracked by new audio. Then, they teased a new music termed “J-Boy” (which opens the new album) and shared a snippet of new audio in a Calvin Klein advert
