Photographer Warren Patterson is suing the Wu because he claims he wasn’t even paid for the image from his 80-hour shoot of the silver case that was used as the album’s cover. Patterson is seeking $1 million USD in damages from all members of the Clan. The album’s current whereabouts are unknown, as its former owner, “pharma bro” Martin Shkreli, has gone to prison. In a recent interview, the RZA spoke about being unable to obtain the album and his astonishment over the album’s current folklore. According to VICE, the Department of Justice doesn’t even have Wu-Tang Clan’s $2 million album in their possession.
