The program is subtitled “The Truths of Younger Girls of Color” and is curated by a group of professors and learners from Wake Forest College. It’s designed to delve into the themes of the history. Younger gals of colour are urged to contribute. A statement on the web-site reads:Solange Knowles’s A Seat at the Desk has been a person of the most reflective and well-known albums made by a young black lady that speaks to troubles of race, womanhood, and equality. At the starting this new calendar year, and as we witness the inauguration of a new president, we invite young gals of colour, ages 16-thirty, to have a seat at the desk by assisting us to acquire the texts, new music, and visible artwork that talk to our encounters.The themes for the syllabus have been outlined in the next five categories: Resisting Racism, Knowledge Gender and Sexuality, the Purpose of Interactions, Nurturing Ourselves, and A Seat at the Lunch Desk.
