Joan Jett was one of the Kurt Cobain stand-ins, along with McCauley. Jett covered three songs, “Breed,” “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” and “All Apologies.” This wasn’t the first time Grohl, Novoselic, and a variety of singers have performed Nirvana records together. They performed at their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony along with Jett, Lorde, St. Vincent, and Kim Gordon in 2014. They’ve also performed in a benefit concert and joined Paul McCartney on Saturday Night Live. Bonus: Want to stay up to date on our latest Rare Norm news ?
