Music a few months ago Share Tweet Pin Share Tom Morello has shared a star-studded new single in support of his forthcoming studio album, The Atlas Underground. Titled “Rabbit’s Revenge,” Morello’s latest is a collaboration with Big Boi, Killer Mike and Bassnectar. Besides the aforementioned trio, The Atlas Underground will also feature contributions from GZA, Vic Mensa, RZA, Knife Party, Steve Aoki, Pretty Lights, Leikeli47 and others. Speaking to Lars Ulrich earlier this year for a Beats 1 interview, Morello said his goal with The Atlas Underground was to create an album “that was the [Jimi] Hendrix of now” and gave listeners “guitar playing that is outside of the norm and is extraordinary.” He also intends to deliver “radio songs” that “connected with a mass audience” and helped craft a “new genre of music” along the way. Summing up the sound of the LP, Morello says its blends “analog, Marshall stack guitar playing with the sounds of now and some of my favorite singers and rappers.” Bonus: Want to stay up to date on our latest Rare Norm news ?
