Music 8 months ago Share Tweet Pin Share Tupac‘s estate has been involved in a five-year legal battle with Entertainment One over royalty rights from the late artist. His mother, Afeni Shakur, was the administrator of the estate when she sued the company back in 2013 for unpaid royalties hovering around seven figures. Even though Shakur passed away in 2016, the legal battle ensued. Now, it appears that the longtime lawsuit has finally ended as the estate has decided to settle with Entertainment One. While the settlement offer was less than owed at six figures, the unreleased recordings by Tupac will be going back to his estate — which could be worth significantly more than the unpaid royalties, according to TMZ. The rapper’s influence continues long after his death, as he was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year. Recently, Mozzy, YG & Ty Dolla $ign released Thugz Mansion and a music video paying tribute to the late artist. Bonus: Want to stay up to date on our latest Rare Norm news ?
