D&D&#039s Upcoming Experience Is All About Zombies And Dinosaurs

Tomb of Annihilation

Dinosaurs are coming to Dungeons & Dragons with its forthcoming adventure, Tomb of Annihilation. Slated for a September 19th launch, Tomb of Annihilation will have players hacking via a jungle comprehensive of undead, dinosaurs and, of course, undead dinosaurs to uncover a famous artifact that could quell a curse.

D&D direct designer Mike Mearls described Tomb of Annihilation as “Indiana Jones satisfies zombies.” It’s established in Chult, a southern continent in the Forgotten Realms environment that’s surrounded by fiery volcanoes. There, in the city of Port Nyanzaru, locals are suffering from a “death curse.” D&D clarifies that it’s “a throwing away sickness afflicting everybody who’s ever been lifted from the lifeless. Victims grow thinner and weaker each individual day, slowly and gradually but steadily sliding toward the death they as soon as denied.”

Experience Time creator and D&D fanatic Pendleton Ward assisted produce Tomb of Annihilation.

D&D’s Mmog game, Neverwinter, will also receive a Tomb of Annihilation growth on July 25th. Here’s the trailer for that:

I’m just as psyched about the prospect of discovering Chult as I am about the forthcoming adventure. It’s a location that hasn’t been touched by formal D&D modules in a incredibly, incredibly extended time. And, this time, D&D guarantees dinosaur racing.
