The Best Prime Day Deals

Prime Day is fast-paced and overwhelming, but we’re sorting through the deluge all day and night to find the deals that are worthy of your money and attention.

We’ll add all of the deals we expect to last awhile below, but many Prime Day Lightning deals sell out within minutes, so be sure to follow us on Twitter for up-to-the-minute updates on the sales that just can’t wait.

Top Tech Deals

If you’ve been in the market to start or expand your Alexa-powered speaker collection, Prime Day doesn’t disappoint. Today only, Prime members can score all-time low prices on the Echo, Echo Dot, and Amazon Tap, including an unprecedented $90 discount on the full-sized Echo. That’s the first time the smart speaker has ever sold for $90, not including a refurb deal from last weekend.

You can also save $30 on the new Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite, or $50 on the Kindle Voyage. We see $20 discounts on the lower end Kindles pretty often, but $30 is less common. The Voyage, while only marginally better than the Paperwhite, basically never gets discounts.

There are also big discounts on their bundles, like $50 off the Paperwhite Essential Bundle and $100 off the Paperwhite Travel Bundle.

Amazon’s Fire tablets are unbelievably affordable even at full price, but with today’s unprecedented Prime Day discounts, they’re firmly within impulse range.

The entry-level Fire 7 is $20 off, down to just $30. This second generation tablet is thinner and lighter than the (pretty decent!) original, but with improved battery life.

Personally though, I’d spend an extra $20 to get the Fire HD 8. Compared to the Fire 7, you’ll get a larger, sharper screen, 50% more battery life, and double the storage.

Both tablets are also available in a variety of bundles as well, all of which are also cheaper than ever for Prime members today.

If your home network has more holes than Swiss cheese, Netgear’s Nighthawk R6700 features beamforming, USB ports, and up to 1750 Mbps maximum throughput, meaning it’s more than enough router for most homes. You can save an additional $20 off the already-reduced Prime Day price of $75 by clipping the coupon, bringing it down to just $55.

The Logitech M510 doesn’t have any bells or whistles, but it was one of your favorite desktop mice because it’s solid. And at $14, it’s even more solid. Chose from black, blue, or red.

Update: Sold out.

$400 is a great price for a serviceable 55″ 4K TV. $400 for a good 4K TV with Amazon’s Fire TV/Alexa built in is an impulse buy– the first time it’s dropped below its $650 MSRP.

The first question I asked when I saw the “Amazon TV” at a press event a while back was whether it would be getting a discount for Prime Day. I’ve been testing it for the last couple weeks, and I’ll definitely be buying one the next time I’m in the market. Gizmodo’s Adam Clark Estes is also a fan. The snappiness of the Fire TV interface makes navigating media on the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Roku, Apple TV, and other smart TVs feel like even more of a slog, and the minimalist Alexa-enabled remote is a joy to use.

Wi-Fi smart plugs have been around for awhile, but only now are they getting small enough to only cover up a single outlet. The new TP-Link Smart Plug Mini is the same TP-Link Smart Plug you know and love, but you know, miniaturized.

These allow you to enable and disable any power outlet remotely from a smartphone app, on a schedule, or even with Alexa. Just be warned, once you start buying these, you’ll want to automate everything in your house.

Today’s Prime Day deal is $10 less than usual, and one of the best we’ve seen.

The original is also $5 cheaper, if you don’t mind blocking the adjacent outlet.

Anker makes basically all of our readers’ favorite charging and affordable audio gear, and their Prime Day deals don’t disappoint.

There are way too many to list here, but we’ve rounded up all the deals over on this post, including your favorite Bluetooth speaker, a popular robotic vacuum, a portable laser projector, and of course, all the charging gear you could possibly need.

$625 would an absolutely insane deal for an unlocked Galaxy S8 by itself, but this is Prime Day, so you’ll also get a Gear VR headset and a fast-charging Samsung Qi stand. Taken together, these would normally cost nearly $900 (including over $700 for the phone by itself), so this is an incredible chance to upgrade to one of the best phones on the market.

August’s second-generation smart lock lets you lock and unlock your home from anywhere, even with Siri, and you can get it for an just $160 on Amazon right now, far below its usual $230.

Assuming your computer can handle it, a 4K monitor is one of the best upgrades you can make to your computing experience, and it’s never been cheaper than it is today on Amazon.

For one day only (or until sold out), you can get a Samsung 28″ 4K display for just $280. That’s one of the first times we’ve seen a 60Hz 4K display drop below $300.

If you’re in the market for a Chromebook, Prime Day’s the day to buy it. Several models are on sale for Prime members right now to fit just about any budget, with a few Android tablets thrown into the mix as well.

Update: While we thought the $19 deal was great, there’s an additional 50% off, bringing these down to under $10.

Status Audio’s unbranded headphones have quietly been a hit among our readers for years now, and they’re running an insane deal on the on-ear HD Ones, today only for Prime Day.

Normally priced at $44, the HD Ones will only cost you $19 today, assuming they don’t sell out early. These 4.3 star-rated cans look sharp, are as comfortable as on-ears can be, and even includes two flat, detachable cables for desktop and mobile use.

It’s 2017, and your headphones don’t need wires anymore. Luckily, Amazon’s offering up Sony’s popular and well-reviewed XB950B1 Bluetooth over-ears for $98 for Prime Day, or about $100 less than usual. This particular set of cans includes an extra bass mode that you can turn on or off, and even a smartphone app that you can use to change your audio settings on the fly.

Here’s a no-brainer deal to help you get ready for Prime Day. Just reload your Amazon gift card balance for the first time by $100 or more, and get a bonus $10 added to your account. I think you’ll find plenty to spend it on starting tonight at 9PM ET.

For all the fine print, click here.

There’s not a whole lot to say here: This phone stand has nearly 4,000 reviews, looks great, and is only $6 today with code 6VGBXP2D. Why wouldn’t you put one on your desk?

If you live in a city with Amazon’s same-day Prime Now delivery service, but haven’t gotten around to using it yet, they’re running a fantastic promotion for new members to celebrate the lead-up to Prime Day.

For a limited time, you can save $10 on your first Prime Now order with promo code 10PRIMEDAY, and receive an additional $10 credit by July 13 to use before the end of the month on another order. Prime Now requires you to spend $20 per order for free two hour delivery, so that means you can basically save 50% on snacks, ice cream, household essentials, and more brought right to your front door.

If the name didn’t make it clear, you’ll need to be a Prime member to take advantage of Prime Now, but you can sign up for a 30 day free trial here.

If you’re curious about Amazon Dash buttons, there’s never been a better time to stick them around your house. As part of a Prime Day countdown promotion, Prime members can purchase all the buttons they want for just $1 each, down from the usual $5. Plus, you’ll still get a $5 credit the first time you use it, meaning Amazon’s literally paying you to buy household essentials.

Time and time again, Amazon has proven itself capable of making quality, affordable products under their own brand name. This Prime Day, they’re marking down hundreds of products from the AmazonBasics line, including a ton of some of your favorites like their packing cubes, batteries, TV wall mounts, and more.

The Cabeau Evolution was your favorite travel pillow (by a long shot), and you can save 25% on yours for Prime Day.

Unlike cheaper travel pillows that you have to inflate with air, the Evolution is made of memory foam, and wraps all the way around your neck to provide support no matter what direction your head falls when you nod off. You won’t win any fashion awards while you’re using it, but you won’t care, because you’ll be asleep.

These pillows almost never go on sale, so if you have any trips on the horizon (or not), you won’t want to miss out on this one.

Being away from your pups all day is tough, but you can drop in, say hello, and even feed them a treat with the Furbo Dog Camera, now down to an all-time low $169 for Prime Day. It’ll even send you a push notification whenever your dogs start barking, which in my case, would make this double as a mail delivery alert system.

You know those fancy kitchens that have their own wine fridges? Now you can get one of your own with today’s Prime Day deal. Choose from three different models starting at $335 today, more than $100 off the usual prices.

For a limited time, Amazon’s running a 20% off Prime Day promotion on our readers’ favorite travel mug, which brings the 16 oz. black model all the way down to $11, one of the best prices we’ve seen. These mugs are cupholder-friendly, easy to clean, and will maintain a hot beverage hot for up to five hours, or a cold drink for up to 12.

Update: Sold out.

If you don’t own a pressure cooker, today’s a great day to fix that, as Amazon’s knocked the month-old Instant Pot IP-DUO Plus down to $96 today, or $24 less than usual.

The Plus’s predecessor, the IP-DUO60 (which had a few fewer cooking options and temperature settings) was one of the most popular items we listed last year, so this is a great chance to get the upgraded version without paying any extra.

If you’re worried that you won’t get a ton of use out of this thing, note that in addition to standard pressure cooking, Instant Pot is also our readers’ favorite slow cooker, and one of their favorite rice cookers too. To put a fine point on it: It’s one of the most versatile kitchen gadgets you can own.

Amazon wants to help you toss those gross non-stick pots and pans you’ve been hoarding since your college days with a 17-piece cookware set for $128. With a 4.5 star rating from almost 3,500 reviews, this one is an easy buy.

Thermos’ stainless steel vacuum-insulated can coolers have been a huge hit with our readers over the year, and today only, Prime member can get a 4-pack for just $25. Individually, these never get cheaper than about $8, so this is a great deal if you don’t mind sharing. They’re even color-coded, so you won’t catch any cooties by grabbing your friend’s drink.

Here’s something to light up your Prime Day. A 16-pack of soft white LED lightbulbs (who needs 16 lightbulbs at once? You do, that’s who) is only $20. That’s one of the best per-bulb LED deals we’ve seen to date.

The summer heat is tough on your wiper blades, but you can grab a new set of Bosch Insights for 20% off, today only. Just be sure to find the right size!

Some people can’t live without their coffee, but for me, it’s fizzy water. Today only for Prime Day, you can get a SodaStream Fizzi from Amazon for $60, complete with a small starter CO2 canister, and a mail-in rebate for a free full-sized starter canister. If you regularly buy soda or carbonated water at the store, it’ll pay for itself.

$37 is still a lot of money for a light bulb, but it’s the best price we’ve ever seen on individual Philips Hue color bulbs. Just note that you’ll need a Philips Hue Hub to use these, and that this isn’t the newest model with improved greens and blues.

Update: The third gen model is also on sale for $40.

Update 2: Don’t have a Bridge? Get the starter kit for $150.

In the tale of “Amazon’s Taking Everything Over,” we bring you their foray into grocery and snack items. Wickedly Happy and Happy Belly are both in-house brands and Prime Members can get up to 50% off bunch of quality snacking options like trail mix, chocolate spread, buts, and more.

It’s basically the seventh circle of hell outside right now, but you can keep cool with DIY cold brew from OXO’s popular brewer. Cold brew coffee is extremely concentrated, so you’ll need to water it down before you drink it, meaning a single carafe from this brewer can yield a dozen or more servings of coffee, with basically zero effort on your part.

You’re going to spend a bunch of money on Amazon during this Prime Day, so why not get some of that back? In addition to the normal 5% back, Amazon Prime Store Card and Visa Rewards Card holders can get 20% back on select items from brands like Ray-ban, GoPro, Mattel, simplehuman, and more. If none of those pique your interest, get 15% back on select Samsung gear.

While Prime Day may be about the insane prices on Amazon devices or TV’s, the deals on clothing are up there too. If you’re looking at your closet, longing for a new wardrobe of your favorite brands, but don’t want to spend a million dollars, this Prime Day 30% off discount is for you. New Balance, Levi’s, Vince, Merrell, Calvin Klein, PUMA, Adidas, and so many more brands are included.

It’s no secret that Amazon has their own in-house brands of apparel for men, women, and kids, and that’s what we’re talking about today. Grab 40-50% off almost 150 pieces of apparel, handbags, and shoes from Amazon’s private-label names. Lark + Ro, Buttoned Down, Ella Moon, Paris Sunday, and more are included in this Prime Day sale.

I’m biased, since I’m wearing them right now, but this is the best deal of Prime Day: 25% off ExOfficio men’s underwear. Our readers have bought tens of thousands of pairs of the boxer briefs, but this deal is also eligible on briefs and boxers.

Amazon’s having a Prime Day fire sale (sorry, sorry) on Zippo lighters and lighter fluid, with the iconic lighters starting under $10 with the extra 25% off. There are 13 different items to choose from, from the classic lighter to candle lighters, so go pick your favorite before this deal burns out.

It’s the perfect time of year for a camping trip, and Amazon’s celebrating with a sale on Coleman camping gear, including tents, sleeping bags, cooking gear (including the Road Trip portable grill), and more.

Take a second to come around to the idea of Luxury Beauty on Amazon. Done? Good. Right now, Prime Members can enjoy up to 40% off select Luxury Beauty items from brands Clarisonic, Vichy, essie, Burberry, skyn ICELAND, and more. It only works on select colors and shades, so make sure you see the little banner that says you’ll get the extra discount.

The Nomatic BASICS wallet is one of our readers’ four favorite front pocket wallets, and you can try one out for just $10 today, down from its usual $20.

Top Media Deals

For the musically inclined among you, Amazon’s got you covered this Prime Day with a musical instrument Gold Box. Inside, you’ll find keyboards, microphones, guitars, and more, all on sale for Prime members. Just be sure to buy your favorites before these deals face the music.

For the first time since the holiday shopping season, Amazon’s offering a sitewide discount on all physical books they sell; save $5 on any order of $15 or more with code PRIMEBOOKS17.

Just like previous, similar deals, this deal excludes Kindle titles and audiobooks, but if there are any commemorative coffee table-type books or collector’s editions that you’ve been eyeing, this is a great opportunity. Just choose carefully; you can only use the code once per account.

You can buy multiple books to meet the $15 threshold, or use it on a single book over $15. Again, this works on any physical book Amazon sells (shipped and sold by Amazon directly), so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a use for it. Let us know in the comments what you got!

Kindle books are already cheaper than physical ones (Print is dead. Blah, blah, blah), but with this Prime Day deal, you can get even more money back into your wallet. Buy any Kindle eBook and get 40% back to use towards your next Kindle purchase (up to $20). You’ll need to use the credit by 7/25, but I’m sure you’ve had more than one book you’ve been wanting to read this summer.

If you love books, but don’t have as much time as you’d like to actually sit down and read them, Amazon’s Prime Day Audible deal has your name on it.

Today only, Prime members can get six months of the service for $9 each, down from the usual $15. That entitles you to a new book of your choice each month, and everything you buy is yours to keep, even if you cancel after the six month promotional period ends. While most of these kinds of promotions are only available to new members, you can get this deal if you’ve been a paid Audible subscriber in the past, as long as you haven’t been a member within the last 30 days.

At $8 per month for Prime members, Amazon Music Unlimited was already more affordable than Spotify Premium or Apple Music, but Amazon’s sweetening the pot for new members by offering four months for just $1..

This deal is part of Amazon’s Prime Day deals, and is by far the best deal they’ve ever offered on the service. If you’re a Prime member but haven’t signed up for Music Unlimited before, what’s $.25 per month to try it out?

Top Gaming Deals

You know the guy that writes The Oatmeal webcomics? He made a card game, and it became the most-backed project in Kickstarter history, as measured by number of individual backers. If you weren’t one of them though, Amazon’s taking $6 off the standard and NSFW edition today. I can’t think of a better way to pass the time with your family over the holidays.

The Astro A50 (along with its corded cousin, the A40) is one of the most popular gaming headsets out there. It’s also one of the least commonly discounted. So if it’s been on your wish list, Prime Day’s your big chance to score one for 40% off.

Now that the Oculus Touch controllers are out, it’s easier than ever to recommend the Oculus Rift (if you have a PC that can handle it, that is), and Amazon’s making the price a little more palatable with a bundle that includes both for under $400, by far an all-time low price.

GTA V’s campaign is great, and its online mode is still incredibly active and constantly changing, so its no wonder that the game has been relatively immune from downward price pressure, even years after release. Today though, Prime members can get a copy on PS4 or Xbox One for $30, the best deal we’ve seen.

Razer makes a bunch of our readers’ favorite gaming peripherals, and a bunch of their most popular keyboards, headsets, and gameboards are on sale on Amazon right now.
