A Teacher Ethered Jake Paul's Diss Video With His Own YouTube Rap

Despite a previously announced hiatus, Jake Paul has returned to YouTube, posting a number of new videos to his channel. Among his latest creations is a music video detailing his experience in attending school called “My Teachers.” And the clip, posted earlier this month, has received an official response from a teacher with some musical talent of his own.

In Jake’s video, which was posted on May 11, the YouTuber spends much of the song questioning the usefulness of what he learned in school. He even begins the track by saying: “Look, I’m a millionaire, but I ain’t used nothin’ in my life that my teachers taught me.” The track also includes appearances from artists SUNNY & AT3 who used their verses to inquire why they were asked to raise their grades and why teachers “neva’ taught me how to flow.”

Twitter user and teacher @madouble has now created his own version of the video in response to Jake’s claims. He begins with a request to the YouTuber, saying: “My students know I got they back/So don’t be dissing me just because your teacher was whack.” He then goes on to point out that Jake has a large platform and should use his channel in a responsible manner, saying: “Just because you show up on their screen/don’t belittle my influence and ability to intervene.” In a post to Twitter, @madouble asked his followers to share his video, writing: “rt if you know your teachers got your back.”

Many on social media have reacted with support, calling the creation “lit” and “legitness.” Another follower expressed their appreciation for the video, tweeting: “Thank you for making this and defending your fellow teachers!” One user is even encouraging the teacher to make a career change and asked for a record label to sign him.
