Art 8 months ago Share Tweet Pin Share The 29th annual ICEHOTEL has officially launched for 2018, situated in the small village of Jukkasjärvi in northern Sweden. Each winter, ICEHOTEL is reincarnated into a new design made of ice and snow from the river Torne. This year, the special hotel features 15 uniquely designed suites, one ice ceremony hall and one main hall, all furnished with ice columns and chandeliers. 33 artists across the world have also gathered to create artworks and sculptures that will exist exclusively in the hotel until it melts. Guests staying the night are primed by a “survival course” which involves learning how to dress appropriately and make the bed with arctic sleeping bags. Take a look inside the ICEHOTEL above and head over to the ICEHOTEL web site to book a room. For more impressive living spaces, Hedi Slimane’s $17.5 million USD home is listed for sale.
