Art last week Share Tweet Pin Share Tucked in a dense woodland area of Southampton, NY is a newly-made 7,100-square-foot home named Old Sag Harbor Road. Blaze Makoid Architecture designed the four-bedroom abode for an “energetic couple” who desired a “secret enclave in the trees,” as per the firm. The modern establishment was placed on the already-existing landscape complete with a unique walk-out lower level, a negative edge pool, and a sculptural staircase that acts a pivotal structure within the home. Additional highlights include a three-sided fireplace and a climate-controlled wine room both clad in blackened steel. Topping off the nature-inclined design of the home are walnut accents across rooms and living spaces. Tour the home above and let us know your thoughts.
