1965 Porsche 911 in Paul Smith’s Colorful Decor

Aside from noted garment collections, multifaceted artist Paul Smith has long shared his creative visions outside of the high-fashion world, previously having worked on home wear goods and automobile customization packages. Referring now to the latter, we take time to preview this decorative race-ready Porsche 911 dressed in the designer’s signature striped detail. A personal project of James Turner — owner of Porsche specialist shop, Sports Purpose, and all-around PS fanatic — along with the artistic stylings of Tuthill Porsche embellish both the exterior and interior of the auto with a lively tonal punch seen throughout. Eye-catching aesthetics aside, the 1965 Porsche 911 suited up and took to the track of the recent 2018 Le Mans Classic and is currently en route to make an appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from July 13-15 as part of Porsche’s ongoing 70th-anniversary celebrations.
