BMW Vision iNext Concept Car First Look

Fresh from introducing the Z4 M40i Roadster First Edition, German automotive manufacturer BMW has now given a first look at its electric concept Vision iNext. The vehicle — which is described as the next evolution of BMW’s “Project i” — is currently only a concept, but a production model is due to arrive in 2021. The Vision iNext is the first BMW model to use the company’s new vehicle architecture, as well as being the company’s first long-range battery electric vehicle. Other features include a large “butterfly” front grill, touch-sensitive suicide doors and a carbon-fiber passenger cell, as well as cameras instead of wing mirrors, similarly to Lexus’ 2019 ES. BMW is also intending for the car to have level-3 autonomy, with features such as hidden sensors and retracting steering wheel and pedals. Keep an eye out for more details of the Vision iNext before 2021, as a number of its more ambitious features may adapt before it enters production.
