Fashion last month Share Tweet Pin Share UPDATE: Initially dubbed as CDGCDGCDG, we just received official word that the line is simply called CDG.UPDATE #2: We’ve received official confirmation that the line will not be carried at the COMME des GARÇONS Paris location. Rei Kawakubo‘s COMME des GARÇONS empire expands with an all-new line called CDG to celebrate its 40th-anniversary this year. The fledgling franchise champions the emblematic CDG logo on an extensive range of apparel, accessories, and footwear for the inaugural installment. Noteworthy pieces in the apparel front include elongated pullover raincoats with white CDG branding embellished across the chest, royal blue long coats with tonal black branding on the upper back section, quilted bombers, long-sleeve T-shirts with two-toned logos embellished on the sleeves and loose trousers with wide tapering. As far as standout footwear and accessories are concerned, all-over print low-top sneakers, striped scarves, and translucent shopping totes stick out from the diverse mix. A dedicated CDG online shop will launch on November 1 purveying all pieces in the collection. Ahead of the digital drop, physical COMME des GARÇONS (Paris, Hong Kong, and Seoul) and CDG retail spaces alongside Dover Street Market Beijing, London, Los Angeles, New York, and Singapore will carry the collection starting October 27. Furthermore, two standalone brick-and-mortar CDG stores in Japan will open to the public on the aforementioned date.
