Fashion 7 months ago Share Tweet Pin Share Following Fall/Winter 2018’s Paris, Texas-influenced range, Japan’s JIEDA returns with another collection of wearable, laid-back looks. Along with the brand’s signature streetwear influences, an array of elevated tailoring and patterned shirts contrast more mature styling with caustic deconstruction. Dubbed “universe laboratory,” JIEDA Spring/Summer 2019 centers around playfully off-kilter designs, dangling drawstrings and unusual textiles, which imparts a series of recognizable silhouettes with a sense of whimsy. Track jackets, mesh vests, jeans, camo shorts, cropped double-breasted blazers and wide nylon trousers are realized in various bold patterns and colors — bright green shades, minute checks and contrasting stripes all appear throughout. Shirts boast extended hems for boosted layering appeal, while relaxed slacks offer slightly cropped fits to off-set the boxy, wide layers. Rich floral patterns on shirts and sweaters showcase a retro appeal that plays off of the revisionary detailing offered by inside-out, deconstructed jeans and oversized, sleeveless check shirts.
