Fashion a couple of weeks ago Share Tweet Pin Share Earlier today, designer Kazuki Kuraishi teased a photo on his Instagram account of a signature announcement with outerwear brand The North Face. The partnership news coincides with the latest Black Series line, one that harnesses more of a streetwear aesthetic than an outdoor-functionality one. Kazuki Kuraishi is a graphic artist and garment designer out of Japan. Having previously worked on projects for fragment design and his labels CASH CA and The Fourness, the designer cut his teeth with high-profile work with BAPE and NIGO, while also receiving tutelage from Hiroshi Fujiwara. His latest endeavor was a collaboration with UK activewear brand Every Second Counts. The teaser photo only slightly shows the backside of a hooded jacket, but hints already at the highly technical nature of the collaboration. Shoulder/elbow reinforcement patches and a prominent rear netted pouch are present, while a horizontal patch running across the rear neckline is a small glimpse into the design of the collaboration. Quilted nylon pants are also seen, along with an industrial background that further solidifies an urban approach to the release.
