Fashion a couple of weeks ago Share Tweet Pin Share Lacoste‘s iconic polo shirt and crocodile logos have stood the test of time, but the French clothing label’s presence has arguably dwindled in the past few years. With the exception of a “Save Our Species” collection and a little help from a Supreme collaboration this year, Lacoste’s relevance in the fashion sphere has been in dire need of a brand revival. This Spring/Summer 2019, however, delivered exactly what the brand needed — a refreshed and youthful take on its iconic silhouettes. Debuted via a lookbook shot by Craig McDean, the Lacoste SS19 collection presented a unisex offering of flagship tennis pieces in modern, oversized tailoring and clean, street-informed styling. Notable garments include an updated, baggy take on the signature L1212 piqué polo, technical shorts, side-striped track pants, a logo-emblazoned denim set, wide-leg overwashed jeans and a slew of monochrome sportswear sets and suits. The famous crocodile logo remains intact and visible on a handful of accessories such as bucket hats, caps and belts.
