Fashion 6 months ago Share Tweet Pin Share The latest effort from former Cloak, Versace Uomo and Helmut Lang menswear designer Alexandre Plokhov, NOMENKLATURA STUDIO draws heavily from science fiction –specifically, William Gibson. Militaristic influences are reformatted into trend-resistant, function-focused gear, sourcing artisans to produce each hand-crafted item. Dubbed “Product Release 001,” this initial range distills the brand ethos into a range of covetable layering pieces executed in mostly neutral tones, with blue accents adding a hint of graphic appeal. Textiles like Japanese cotton twill, vegetable-tanned Italian leather, Austrian mountaineering hardware and 500 Denier American nylon inform capes, parkas, hoodies, vests, cargo pants and accessories, slimming down the cuts for a contemporary take on timeless styles. Printed t-shirts lend a youthful edge to the heavy-duty gear, complemented by occasional camouflage accents and bags loaded with pockets and straps.
