Maison Mihara Yasuhiro Teases DC Shoes Collaboration

Mihara Yasuhiro celebrated his brand’s 20th anniversary with its 2018 Fall/Winter showcase earlier this year, highlighting an eclectic range of deconstructed goods. Most of the models striding down the runway wore his signature off-kilter footwear, ranging from furry boots to hybrid Jack Purcell-style sneakers. However, amidst all the wild footwear was Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s latest collaboration, an upgraded take on DC Shoes’s new E. Tribeka silhouette.

Offered in both black and white, the reimagined sneaker retains much of the original design, including muted suede and mesh panels on the upper. Complementing the bi-color detailing, the sneaker sports a grid pattern across the upper, stretching around to the toe. The original model’s minimal tongue branding has also been replaced with an enormous DC logo, while co-branding appears on the laces and heel.

Expect the collaborative silhouette to hit Japanese DC Shoes outlets and Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s web store on July 13. Check out the label’s Fall/Winter 2018 showcase below to see the sneakers in action and Yasuhiro himself dressed up as a construction worker.

Most recently, Japanese sneaker retailer atmos offered a first look at its colorful E. Tribeka revision.
