Fashion 7 months ago Share Tweet Pin Share visvim‘s signature workwear aesthetic appears to have been influenced by the brand’s recently-opened outposts in Los Angeles and New Mexico outposts, with elements of the Old West clearly manifesting throughout the Japanese label’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection. Not only does cowboy cool pervade the offerings, but current-day Californian ease also informs the expansive range. Showcasing a selection of classic items and playful new prints, visvim’s latest offering incorporates easygoing striped tees, baseball shirts and board short-style chino shorts along heritage-inflected items, like liner jackets and work pants, complete with suspenders. As usual, traditional Japanese clothing receives a seasonal facelift, with lightweight noragi jackets, yukata-style coats and geta sandals accenting the more conventionally blue collar pieces. Furthermore, visvim’s signature Skagway sneaker, FBT moccasin, Virgil boot and Roland runner appear alongside several new footwear options, including one Wallabee-like option: an update to the Beuys Trekker-Folk.
