Now You Can Upload Multiple Pics to Instagram Stories at Once

If you’re one of those people who loves to treat their Instagram Stories like your own personal documentary, the app just made it a lot easier for you to curate: Instead of having to either take a photo or video right in the app and post it immediately, or individually add media one by one from your camera roll, the Facebook-owned app is rolling out the ability to upload multiple photos and videos at one time. According to a press release, the update will allow anyone with connectivity issues — or anyone who is simply a perfectionist about their ‘gram — to preview their entire Story prior to posting.

Here’s how you do it: A new icon at the top right corner of the “upload media” screen on Stories will allow users to choose up to 10 photos and videos at once. On the edit screen, a preview of all the media selected will appear at the bottom of the screen, and each can be tapped in order to individually add stickers, text, or whatever else your heart desires. When you’re ready to post, all the items will be added to your Story at the same time, in the order you selected them. Voilà!

And now that you have the option of taking a little more time between when you take a photo and when you post it to your Instagram Stories, the app has integrated with your location services to help you tag more accurately. If you are uploading, for example, a taco that you ate last night, when you preview the pic in Instagram, the location feature will suggest taco spots near when the photo was taken rather than where you are currently located.

The update is available on Android now and coming to iOS in the next few weeks. Three cheers for more aesthetically pleasing and complete narratives on Instagram Stories!
