Echoes (by Jonathan Hammond)

Echoes is a poem by Rare Norm poet Jonathan Hammond

Echoes in the night
They travel far away
They travel far and wide
With things that once were said

These echoes never last
Just voices of the past
They come and go so fast
As soon as they were cast

Are echoes meant to be?
Only thrown away for free
For now there’s just the sounds
That pass through you and me
