Conan O'Brien Arrives in Japan

Shortly after jokingly claiming Gosho Aoyama’s popular manga/anime Case Closed, Detective Conan is based on him, Conan O’Brien made his way to Japan. The talk show host is on route to meet the mayor of Hokuei, Tottori with a long list of compensation demands. Hokuei, better known as ‘Conan Town,’ is the birthplace of Aoyama and is known for its Detective Conan themed attractions.

Conan looked to immerse himself in everything Japanese during his current stopover in Tokyo. Making his way to Harajuku, Conan met up with the team at 6%DOKIDOKI, a kawaii scene store which is often credited with starting the popular ’90s trend. In some clips posted to Twitter, Conan is seen dressed in the colorful niche fashion style while making his way through the notoriously crowded Takeshita Street. Looking at clips of his interactions with Japanese locals and lucky fans, we’re sure to be in for some interesting recap videos.

Catch all the clips of Conan O’Brien in Tokyo below, including a thoughtful message to the residents of Hokuei and stay tuned for the talk show host’s arrival in Conan Town.
