The Hollywood Reporter first broke the news, noting that Coogler and Marvel were said to have”quietly closed a deal.” Coogler will reportedly pen the script in 2019, while the studio plans to begin production in “late 2019 or early 2020.” Currently, Coogler is busy executive producing Creed 2 and LeBron James’ Space Jam sequel; he’s also working with Michael B.
