The Rare Norm last week Share Tweet Pin Share Most of the time, the pollution from energy production is orders of magnitude greater than the pollution from industry or agricultural (not saying we shouldn’t address those). Some of the best things you can do are to just not be wasteful. Don’t waste food and don’t waste power, it may not seem like much but it snowballs with others. Recycling is great, but we send most of our recycling to Asia where they have lax regulations and it gets there on these giant ships that are terrible for the environment. You can try planting a little garden which will help with agriculture waste and you get the benefit of yummy food and the satisfaction that you grew it. It sounds depressing, but if everyone does a little it will help. We likely cannot stop the droid attack on the Wookies change that is coming, but we can surely minimize it. Aside from that, vote for candidates who support environmental reform and want modernization of energy and waste, and continue to educate others so we can all diminish our negative impact. But this is a worldwide issue that needs to be addressed by all of us: the US, Russia, Brazil, China, India, Japan, Germany, etc. So for us to really make an impact, we need that snowball to get huge.
