The Rare Norm a couple of months ago Share Tweet Pin Share Sounds like Nintendo mods went into a dookie dookie! It’s pretty easy to discuss these pictures because of the awesome moment they document. This is a wonderful party that looks like it will last your nephew a lifetime of fondant memories! I wish someone put this much thought and time into one of my birthday parties. It’s one of those birthdays you’d see on a fading polaroid that reminds you of a simple time in life; when things are destroyed for fun, running is the only speed, and finding that shortcut on rainbow road is your biggest concern. The polaroid, though fading like your nephew’s childhood, will still remind you that he was young once, small, happy, and loved by him and your sister. You take him to a vacant parking lot and teach him to drive, ‘It’s just like playing Mario,’ you say, noticing some gray hairs in your reflection, and it is, because they’ve switched steering wheels over to controllers. Soon he’s driving in rela life. He might get a significant other, bring him or her to the family get togethers; then stop, and have to tell you the terrible news that the two of them broke up. A couple more SOs later and he’s finally found the one. He asks you to help him set up the proposal, your mind shifts back to these pictures. He gets down on one knee and says loudly, as the fireworks you planned go off without a hitch, ‘Would-a you like-a to marry-a me-a?’ because they both love Nintendo and it’s an inside joke between them. He slips the ring on his SO to a resounding yes. Your little nephew, the one that loved Nintendo so much his mom put together an awesome party, has grown up before your eyes, faded, like the pictures of this party that you both cherish.
