Sports a couple of months ago Share Tweet Pin Share As the Nevada State Athletic Commission continues to investigate the now infamous UFC 229 post-fight brawl, Khabib Nurmagomedov recently took to Instagram threatening to quit the organization due to its handling of the incident. Pointing to the lack of punishment Conor McGregor faced for his bus attack, the Russian fighter notes that he is unhappy that the UFC is looking to dismiss his teammate, Zubaira Tukhugov, who has been suspended for his role in the altercation. Tukhugov, who was scheduled to fight McGregor’s teammate, Artem Lobov, has been identified as the person that jumped into the Octagon and hit McGregor from behind. The UFC’s handling of the altercation is directly tied to the NSAC’s current findings, which is noting the number of charges Tukhugov who attended UFC 229 as a spectator is facing. Finishing up his threat, Nurmagomedov told the UFC to “keep my money that you are withholding,” referring to the $2 million USD purse that the NSAC is holding as the investigation of the incident continues. Stay tuned for more information as the story develops. In case you missed it, Conor McGregor has recently expressed his interest in a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
