Forget Black Friday, the Steam Autumn Sale is live now

As if there isn’t enough going on this week already

Valve is now running its annual Steam Autumn Sale with deals on some 14,000 games.

What’s good this year? Based on spending habits so far, it looks like Civilization VI ($17.99), Total War: Warhammer II ($29.99), Assassin’s Creed Odyssey ($40.19), Monster Hunter World ($39.59), NieR: Automata ($29.99), Frostpunk ($20.09), Divinity: Original Sin 2 ($29.24), and Shadow of the Tomb Raider ($29.99) are climbing the global charts. Well, those and the humble Steam Link. Valve’s streaming device was just discontinued this week, so this is it. Folks are snapping them up for a mere $2.50.

While eyes are on the sale, Valve is also pointing a spotlight on the 2018 Steam Awards to encourage more participation. Users can nominate in categories like “Labor of Love,” “Best Developer,” “Better with Friends,” and of course “Game of the Year.” Once these nominees are finalized, Valve will hold a poll in December to determine the winners (which will then be announced in February).

The Steam Autumn Sale runs until Tuesday, November 27 at 10:00am Pacific. I’m glad I more or less got Steam sales out of my system. I can scan the list, take note, and move on. It’s that easy!
