I performed 50 %-Everyday living remake Black Mesa, and truly liked it! I also in the intervening decades fully forgot that it wasn’t technically completed, since it ended on Earth and not, as the original activity did, on the alien earth Xen.
That’s due to the fact Black Mesa’s developers thought, like the rest of us, that Valve’s ending sequence was a little bit horrible, and that instead of just remaking it like they had the rest of the activity, they have been likely to try and make their own Xen and do it much better.
That vision is almost carried out. The team have claimed these days that their variation of Xen will be out in December, a launch window they say is a “a do-or-die deadline” (it was meant to be out all over now). In addition to this new last chapter to Gordon’s original experience, they’re also generating a handful of adjustments to the current activity like a new dynamic lighting system (see underneath) and some color correction.
Notice that the new Xen will only be produced accessible to those who own the the paid out variation of Black Mesa (introduced a few of decades back).
