Gaming a couple of months ago Share Tweet Pin Share Today, Overwatch celebrates its second year in existence with another Anniversary Event, complete with new skins, a new retail re-release, and more. The Overwatch second anniversary event begins today and will run until June 11. Blizzard announced 190 new anniversary-themed items of which 60 will be brand new to this event. Blizzard already held a several legendary skin reveals leading up to the event today. Some of the new legendary skins include a Sherlock McCree, Casino Doomfist, Magician Symmetra, Pirate Junkrat, and more. You can see the full gallery of the eight legendary skins here. As a bonus, the previous seasonal cosmetics will also be available. So if you missed out on any previous season skin now’s your chance to complete your collection. Blizzard also announced Petra, a free-for-all Deathmatch map based on the real-world city of Jordan. It’s got a very Indiana Jones-style vibe going for it and comes complete with destructible environments that open up new parts of the map. Players who log in for the event will receive a bonus Legendary Anniversary Loot Box with a guaranteed Legendary item. If you purchase the 50 Loot Box bundle you’ll get a bonus Legendary Anniversary Loot Box as well. Blizzard is also releasing a Legendary Edition retail version for Overwatch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Legendary Edition is available for $39.99 and includes 15 different Legendary and Epic skins along with the five Origins skins. The standard version of the game is also on sale for $19.99, and both are offered until June 4.
